Folder Preview for Windows

Find the right clip without opening every video. Folder Preview plays short, silent loops over visible video thumbnails in your normal Windows File Explorer window.

What it does

• Six-second preview loops over visible videos in the active Explorer window.
• Balanced and lighter Eco modes, with a local preview cache.
• Silent playback that hides while Explorer menus are open.
• Ctrl + Alt + P to pause or resume.

Included

• Folder Preview 1.0.0 for Windows 11, 64-bit.
• Portable ZIP, control panel, tray icon and six sample clips.
• Quick-start guide, troubleshooting notes and third-party license/source materials.

Setup

1. Extract the complete ZIP into a writable folder.
2. Run Folder Preview.exe and keep the included files together.
3. Open a local folder in Explorer using Medium, Large or Extra large icons.

Compatibility and limits

Windows 11, 64-bit, with .NET Framework 4.8. No installer, account or Internet connection is needed to use the app. Use one folder tab per Explorer window.

AV1 and protected videos are not supported. Home, Gallery, search results, archives, file pickers, network browsing and multiple tabs per window are outside the supported scope. Mixed-DPI multi-monitor setups have not been certified.

This is an overlay, not a replacement file browser or video player. Explorer updates and display scaling can affect alignment. Your videos are not uploaded or modified; settings, logs and cached previews stay beside the app.

The app is unsigned, so Windows may show a publisher or reputation warning. It does not change Windows security settings. This purchase does not promise lifetime support or future updates.
